She was arrested in Series 3, Episode 12 when Joan Ferguson reported her to the police and has been an inmate ever since. May Jenkins (Anni Finsterer) (season 7) is Boomer's abusive mother. Kaz thought Bea shopped her and her ally Allie to the police, only to later discover that it was actually the inmate she had seen as a friend (Ferguson). Kaz is then ordered to make Ferguson a cup of tea; Ferguson then tells her not to listen to Bea. She is an alcoholic. In season 7 she attempts to become Top Dog after Kaz's death, but is framed for her murder by Marie, though later cleared. The women are caught in a tense struggle when Kaz (Tammy MacIntosh) intervenes and sends Sonia falling to her death. Kaz threatens Bea. "I'm not crying.. You are!" After the death of Sonia Stevens, Kaz has nothing left to lose. Boomer is often portrayed as a slow and sometimes mentally challenged individual but, it is revealed that she has Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder as a result of her mother ingesting alcohol while she was pregnant with Boomer.
